On January 12th 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, killing over 200 000 and living behind several thousand amputees.
Today, there is more than 1 million people with disabilities in Haiti. They are widely marginalized, and often outcasts.
The Haitian Amputee Soccer national team came together in April 2010. Only 4 months after the earthquake. They were applauded internationally when they arrived in October of the same year, at the Amputee Soccer World Cup, held in Argentina.
They immediately became a source of pride for suffering people of Haiti.
Since then, the players have carried out a crucial role in promoting the integration of the Haitian disabled population.
In November 2014, the Haitian Team will participate to a World Cup for the second time of its history, in Mexico.
